How did you two meet?

"Jeb and I met at Towson University in the fall of 2013 when we both joined a media production society. Jeb was a freshman, and I was a junior. We didn’t have very many interactions that semester, but started hanging out more the following fall. I was just returning from a semester abroad and moved into a new apartment in Towson where one of my roommates was good friends with Jeb so he was over all the time (it also helped that he lived in the same apartment complex as us). Jeb and I bonded over our love for movie marathons and watching The Office, and officially started dating in December 2014..."

How did he propose?

"Jeb proposed on July 3, 2020. I returned home from work to find him down on one knee with our song “Stay With You” by John Legend playing, while surrounded by rose petals and cards we had given to each other over the years..."

"...My engagement ring and wedding band were both originally my grandma’s, who passed away in December 2019. My engagement ring wasn’t from her wedding jewelry, but the wedding band is which makes it extra special. My now engagement ring dates back to the 1940s when my grandma received it on her 21st birthday. She gave it to me for my 25th, with our shared November birthstone in it. I absolutely loved the ring and knew I wanted Jeb to use the setting when he proposed (which hopefully took some of the pressure off of him)..."

Tell us about your say yes experience here at Love & Lace!

"I had such an amazing experience at Love & Lace! The first bridal shop I went to I felt very pressured to buy a dress there, even though they knew it was my first time trying on and my main focus was trying different styles. Weeks later, I went to Love & Lace and they were beyond friendly and accommodating with zero pressure to buy. I almost didn’t try on “the one” at first because it was strapless, but my sister suggested I try it and I immediately fell in love with the A-line shape and romantic floral pattern! My only concern was I knew I wanted straps added, but Love & Lace recommended a few different alteration specialists to help transform it into the dress of my dreams..."

What was your favorite moment on your wedding day?

"Honestly it’s hard to choose one – it was our dream wedding and everything came together better than we ever could have imagined! One favorite moment was our first look where we exchanged private vows before the ceremony. We loved getting to spend some private time together and take in the moment before celebrating with our closest family and friends..."

What advice would you give to another bride?

"Stay focused on what matters most to you both when planning. Your wedding day will go by quickly so enjoy the little moments with your spouse and loved ones!"
